Kitesurfing The best time to kitesurf in Portugal is from April to September, when the thermal wind blows from the northwest. Typical conditions include:

Consistent winds between 16 and 35 knots.
Average of 25 knots between 12:00 and 18:00.
Winds that begin to gain strength around 12:00 pm and continue until sunset.
